Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Salary: £37,338 – £44,962 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours FTE (Part-time hours also available)

About the Role

AXIA Healthcare is delighted to be working in partnership with a nationally recognised provider of health and social care services, specialising in neurological rehabilitation for both adults and young people.

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist ( Band 6 ) to join a state-of-the-art, 48-bed Neuro Rehabilitation Centre based in Leatherhead, Surrey. This modern facility supports individuals recovering from acquired brain injuries, strokes, incomplete spinal injuries, and other neurological conditions, combining tailored therapies with 24-hour nursing care.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a valued Speech and Language Therapist within our expert therapy team, your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out specialist speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments for adults with complex neurological conditions

• Delivering individual and group-based neurorehabilitation programmes within a supportive residential setting

• Playing a key role in stroke recovery pathways, ensuring interventions are in line with national guidelines and best practice

• Providing high-quality out-patient therapy, offering practical support and guidance

• Assisting in the development of SLT services with guidance from senior SLTs

• Advising clients, families, and staff on safe and effective dysphagia management

• Supporting the growth of the service through innovation and reflective clinical practice

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate therapist who meets the following criteria:

• Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy and full HCPC registration

• Professional Membership: Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)

• Experience: Interest or experience in neurorehabilitation and working with clients with complex neurological needs
