Registered Nurse – RGN or RMN – Addictions & Recovery Hospital
Location: West Linton, Peeblesshire
Salary: £18.40 per hour + 20% enhancements for nights & weekends (£35,800-£40,000 per annum)
Hours: 37.5 per week (3 x 12.5hr shifts across days, nights & weekends). Part-time also available.
About the Role
AXIA Healthcare is proud to partner with one of the UK’s leading rehab hospitals, specialising in the treatment of addictions, substance misuse and associated mental health conditions. We are recruiting a Registered Nurse ( RGN or RMN ) to join a highly respected, family-run hospital with over 40 years’ experience in addiction treatment and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the nursing team, you will:
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in line with hospital policies
- Administer and manage medication, including detox protocols
- Monitor and support patients undergoing detoxification, escalating concerns as required
- Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and patient reviews
- Lead shifts in the absence of the Head Nurse, supervising junior staff
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and effective handovers
- Ensure patient safety through risk assessments and health & safety compliance
- Support admissions, discharges, and family communication
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse ( RGN or RMN ) with a valid NMC pin
- Experience in addiction, substance misuse or psychiatric nursing is desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, professional approach
- Ability to maintain boundaries while providing empathetic care
- Good IT and administrative skills
- Own car and clean driving licence (due to rural location)
- Full right to work in the UK
